Before Endodontic Treatment

Prior to your visit please brush and floss normally with extra attention given to the area where surgery is to be performed. Please do not take any aspirin or related non-steroidal or anti-inflammatory drugs such as Aleve, Advil, Motrin or Ibuprofen for 3 days prior to your procedure as these drugs may affect the normal blood clotting process.

Please rinse with mouthwash or other antibacterial rinse for 3 days prior to the surgery to help reduce the chance of infection. It is best if someone else can drive you to and from your appointment as ice packs will be applied to the surgical area following the procedure.
