Digital Radiography

Dental radiographs (x-rays) are essential, preventative, diagnostic tools that provide valuable information. Digital x-rays may reveal abscesses, cysts, bone loss, decay, and problems inside a tooth or below the gum line.

They are considered safe due to the low levels of radiation they produce.  Recent studies have shown a 78% reduction using digital radiography versus conventional dental radiography.  We are all exposed to natural radiation in our environment. The amount of radiation exposure for endodontic treatment is less that the amount a person receives in a single day from natural sources.

A series of x-rays are taken throughout the endodontic procedure to ensure precise root canal measurements. Lead aprons are used to shield the patient’s body for maximum protection.

Special precautions are taken for all of our expectant mothers.
